Alabama Lands Top Recruiting Class in the Nation

Once again, the Alabama Crimson Tide has landed the number one ranking in the recruiting class for 2012.  Nick Saban snagged a total of 26 commitments, 3 five star rated players and 14 four star rated guys. At the top of the list is Rueben Foster who has signed on at a healthy 6’2” 228 pounds.  Currently recruited as linebacker, Reuben is attending Troup County High School in Lagrange, Georgia.  But the rumor is that he is planning to transfer to a high school in the state of Alabama that will allow him to finish up high school early and go ahead and enroll at the University of Alabama as early as January.

More juicy gossip:  Foster does not come to us without scandal, his head coach was fired for improper transferring of at least one football player into his school district.  Foster is also still being courted by Auburn and Georgia, but so far his heart stays true to the Saban Nation.

Standouts for the Tide in recent years for this position have been Dont’a Hightower and Rorlando McClain, both very familiar names to the Crimson Tide Family.  The difference maker with Foster seems to be he has the dynamite athletic ability to surpass what those have done that came before him.

Only time will tell if all of Saban’s recruiting work will pay off.  With Championship #14 under his belt for the Crimson Tide, I am sure all the fans are looking for #15!
