And The Saga Continues…

Ok, some more info has surfaced on the Manti Te’o girlfriend hoax. I will say this. This is the last time I’m going to talk about it. Personally I don’t see what the big deal is, but I do want to report what is going on. I will say this: We live in a world where some people make it their mission to tear others down. They make it their goal to destroy an individual’s peace. They want to make people question an individual’s integrity and humanity. I think the media have credo, it’s Guilty Until Proven Innocent.

There isn’t one person out there that doesn’t have some embarrassing, appalling skeletons in their closet. The difference is that most of us aren’t in the spotlight. With that out of the way, here you go!

An unidentified woman has come forward and said that in early December Ronaiah Tuiasosopo came to her and confessed the entire thing. He told her that Manti wasn’t involved. He also said this wasn’t the first time he’s done this. Everything was a lie. He admitted that he had his female cousin speak to Manti on the phone.

From what I can tell, Notre Dame and Manti have known about this since early December. People are pointing out that since December Manti has talked about his girlfriend and made comments- that at those comments point in some way to his involvement in the hoax. I think what it does is speak of his profound embarrassment and fear. Can you even imagine? Oh my gosh. It’s like a bad episode of 90210. Another reason I think it was kept under wraps was the Championship game was in a month and the story would have created pandemonium and an immense distraction that the ND players didn’t need. Not like that helped since they lost pretty badly, but still.

Everybody is saying this is going to affect his draft stock big time. Draft stock smaft tock. Who cares where he goes in the draft? Why does that matter as long as you are signed? He’s a great player and any NFL team that passes him up because of this thing is stupid to the nth degree. I would like to remind everyone of the 2000 draft and pick #199. He now has numerous records, 3 Super Bowls, and is the winningest QB in NFL postseason history. His name is Tom Brady. Oh ya, his draft position really hurt him. He’s so unsuccessful. Bah Humbug!

Te’o will succeed because he’s good. He’ll succeed because he’s determined. Let’s shuffle our focus to the fact that we have less than a month of football left! Oh the HORROR! I don’t know what I’ll do with myself! I’m telling you I’m going to cry, I really will.
