#18 A Perfect Fit For Lamin Barrow

Ladies, opening day is nearly here! My heart is literally about to burst through my chest from all the excitement building! While the NFL seems to be in shambles lately, the NCAA isn’t having as many issues and I fully expect college football to be bigger and better than ever this year!

As many of you might know, jersey #18 was up for grabs this past week and the decision regarding who would sport this coveted number was finally made on August 4th, 2013. The newest legend to rock those purple digits is Lamin Barrow! He plays linebacker at LSU and is going into his senior year so why not hand over that precious gem to someone more than capable of filling the shoes?

Lamin Barrow is from Marrero, LA and attended John Ehret High School before signing with LSU. In high school, Barrow was rated the 7th best prospect in Louisiana and the #22 inside linebacker by Rivals.com.He stands at a towering (or at least towering to me) 6’2” and weighs in at 232 pounds this season- the perfect LSU linebacker size. As a junior, he made 104 tackles, (yes folks his numbers were in the TRIPLE DIGITS in one year alone). Now that his fellow linebacker Kevin Minter has gone off to the NFL ,Barrow is expected to be the leader for LSU’s defense this fall and one of the top linebackers in the SEC in 2013. In addition to his amazing junior year he also had 35 other tackles (making his tally 139 total) and played in 38 games with 15 starts.

Lamin Boujang Barrow, we salute you and cannot WAIT to witness the power you bring in your senior year for LSU wearing none other than the #18 jersey! Geaux get em tiger!
