How mad are you Notre Dame fans? I’m so stinking mad! This is what my anger looks like – $%*# Cuss Words %%*# Cuss Words $%*#. The only thing keeping my anger from being completely out of control is the fact that we only dropped to #21.
So here’s my major issue with the game: Michigan wasn’t and isn’t a better team than Notre Dame. I know the score would suggest they are, but I’m saying they aren’t. Notre Dame lost because all of a sudden they forgot how to play good football. They forgot how to adjust to the present scenario. They forgot that T. Rees can’t roll out and throw the ball or it equals an interception! Garr!!
I said in my post yesterday that if Michigan got up, they could stay up. THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!! I also said it was important for ND to control the clock well, avoid turnovers, and get up big. THEY DIDN’T DO ANY OF THOSE THINGS! They had to call timeouts because they didn’t know what was going on. Rees threw 2 interceptions, and ND didn’t lead Michigan at any point in the game last night.
ND’s defense looked subpar at best. There was no pressure on Michigan’s QB Gardner until the very end of the game. Another problem is that ND didn’t even have 100 yards rushing! And where did Rees throw his second interception of the night? IN THE REDZONE!!! It was 1st and goal at the Michigan 6 and he threw an interception! Ok so I know I’m kinda hard on Rees. It’s mostly due to my frustration with the QB situation in South Bend. I think Rees is talented, but I don’t think he is a 4-quarter QB. I don’t think he can handle the job on his own. I think ND would do well to alternate QBs in the game.
But what do I know? I’m just a van specialist.
All right venting over. I know you are all in similar venting situations; hopefully you have people to listen to you.
