Bo Eats Crow

Well well well…look who is eating crow now?  You guessed it, the Ole Miss Rebel’s quarterback Bo Wallace.  All week long, Bama fans (and players) have listened to Bo Wallace trash talk about how great his receivers are, how great he is, and frankly, we just got tired of hearing it. So, what happens when we get tired of hearing it?  We are going to shut you out and shut you up.  And that is exactly what Alabama did to Bo Wallace and his Ole Miss Rebels yesterday.

Coach Saban talks a lot about how he hates trash talk and doesn’t tolerate it amongst his team.  Now we all know that the players talk a little trash amongst themselves to get them fired up about the game, but they don’t do it in ear shot of coach, on twitter and definitely not to the media.  We have sat back and watched social media and media interview responses be the ruin of many a poor boy, and now Bo knows he’s one.

Moving on…

I was very happy with last night’s game.  I can assure you some people will complain that the score wasn’t 70-0, but let me say to those people, that is not Alabama football.  They played those Rebels like a fiddle!  The Alabama defense and special teams once again ruled the day.  Nothing makes me more excited than to see the likes of CJ Mosley and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix make some big hits and even on occasion, score some points, which is exactly what CJ did last night when he tackled Bo Wallace in his own end zone for a safety.  And what about that freshman new comer Eddie Jackson stepping in with an interception and a couple of pass break ups? That kid was on fire, I can’t wait to see more of him!

Overall, AJ McCarron and the offensive line did a good job.  AJ had one interception yesterday but other than that, he had a great game.  Unfortunately, center Ryan Kelly was injured in the second quarter with a stretched MCL and was out the rest of the game.  Afterwards, Coach Saban said the injury could cost him up to four weeks of recovery.  Luckily, Junior Chad Lindsay stepped in and was able to be vocal, communicate and do a great job for the Tide.  This seems like more O line drama, but I feel like Chad did well, so I don’t see it being a problem.
