UTSA will proudly honor all Veterans and current Service Members during Tulane match-up

How about some team standings, shall we? The Roadrunners are on a 2 game winning streak. (UAB at home, Tulsa away) This season we have played (or at least won) better at away games. We have won 7 of the last 11 road games, and 2 of 3 road games this season. It’ll be good for the team, city, and fans if we can punch out another W at home. Our overall standings this season are 3-2, with in-conference games at 2-1. Kam Jones had a very impressive 84 yard run for a touchdown, and Triston Wade had 2 interceptions, 1 returned for a touchdown.

QB Eric Soza has made some awards lists; the National Football Foundation (NFF) Scholar Athletes, the Allstate American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team, as well as a 2013 Senior CLASS award candidate. Good luck, man! You deserve every nomination and win.

The Tulane Green Wave are tied for first place in Conference USA West standings. This week they are coming to the Alamo City after their first loss of the year to Florida Atlantic, their record is 4-1 this season. The Green Wave has forced many turnovers—26. 10 fumbles, and 16 interceptions. UTSA needs to keep their eyes peeled, and be ready to react if Tulane pulls a quick one on us. Other teams have easily intercepted Soza’s passes this year. Coach Coker has been working with the team, practicing interceptions and fast feet. The aforementioned Triston Wade showed us he can put into play what has been preached to him.

It’ll be an interesting match-up. I’m interested to see what the outcome will be, with both teams having so much talent and desire to win. (UTSA has got to get that home victory on the ‘Dome!!!!)

Very importantly, this game will be honoring all the men and women of the Armed Forces. Our team will be wearing all navy uni’s, and navy helmets with a ‘Stars and Stripes’ Runner logo. This’ll be a wonderful chance to bring someone you love that has served. Activities to honor and remember are also taking place Thursday, Nov. 7th thru Monday the 11th. Click here for important info.

Wear your red, white, and blue. Bring your flags, be patriotic. Shake the hand of every Veteran you come across. Thank them for their service. It’s the least you can do to show your honor. We are so proud of all our Armed Forces, and thank them for our freedom and ability to attend football games as we wish and desire. I’ll see you there!!

Check out my information about the Budweiser Clydesdale horses that will be at the Alamodome before the game, and take the kiddos to see that.
