You Don't Want Bama

As you may know, the Mighty Ducks fell to Stanford last night in a long fought 20-26 final score.  This is the second year in a row that Stanford ruined the Oregon Duck’s perfect season.  The score sounds close but don’t let that fool you, the Ducks were pointless until the fourth quarter.  They did make a valiant effort at the end, because they are a fourth quarter team, but it was just too little too late.

So why is your Alabama girl discussing Oregon?  Well because for weeks now the Oregon fans have been chanting “We Want Bama”.  Now it looks like that is never going to happen and it is probably for the best.  Oregon looked weak and out matched last night against a number 6 Stanford, could they even hang with a football team like Alabama?  It appears the answer to that is a resounding NO.  With all that Oregon has going for them with a great quarterback and their speed, I just do not think they could ever hang with the sheer strength and toughness of the Alabama team.  I don’t think Oregon’s defense would stand a chance against Alabama’s heavy hitting offensive line.  I also believe that Alabama’s defense would make roasted duck out of Mariota and his teammates on offense.

There was much chatter on twitter and other social media about the Ducks “wanting” Bama and I think it is safe to say that chatter will cease.  While it is still around it is more about Alabama fans poking fun at what might have been:

WeWantBama YouDont

As one of my favorites Paul Finebaum said on twitter last night, guess they can send all those We Want Bama shirts on down to Tallahassee now.

Roll Tide!

Ha Ha! I snuck it in on her Megan. I knew she wouldn’t like it but it had to be written! 🙂

  3. Actually, when Alabama loses to Auburn or in SEC title, Oregon will possibly play them in the Sugar Bowl!
