Kickin’ Off in Hotlanta!

Alabama kicks off today in Atlanta to the West Virginia Mountaineers in the 2014 Chick fil A Bowl!  As exciting as this is, let’s first mention that my prediction of Blake Sims starting as QB for the Tide has been reported as accurate.

Also, we have a first in Saban’s Crimson Tide history; he is allowing Lane Kiffin, the new offensive cooridinator to be on the sidelines coaching, during the game.  What you say?  Yes, you normally only see Saban on the sideline, but this time you will be seeing him as well as Kiffin.  Saban is quoted as saying “I always let the coordinators be where they want to be.”

It’s doubtful there will be any surprises; Alabama is like a 30 point favorite.  If anything, I expect if Blake Sims is not playing up to par, Saban will most likely pull him and put in Jacob Coker and the Saban Nation will all be happy.

One thing I am looking forward to seeing is Landon Collins being in charge of this defense.  I am also curious to see how this offensive line handles things, last year this was repeatedly a sore spot for Alabama and I can’t wait to see how the new guys click.
