Amari for Heisman!

1996 Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel announced the final three for the Heisman 2014:

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota

Alabama WR Amari Cooper

RB Melvin Gordon from Wisonsin

Usually a quarterback wins the Heisman trophy and with this being Marcus Mariota’s last year, he seems like a shoe in.   What makes this more interesting is that Mariota will be playing last year’s Heisman Trophy winner, Jameis Winston in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Just because it is ‘usually’ a quarterback doesn’t mean that it is always a QB.  Amari is no stranger to awards, he has already won numerous for his time at Alabama.  He has been and remains one of the starting quarterback’s favorite targets.  Does he have what it takes to win?  Undoubtedly so and his team mates have been there all year to vouch for him.

All three have great records and it’s really a tossup, who do you think deserves to win it?
