The Ducks needed a little help from Cal to keep their Pac-12 Championship hopes alive. In the end, that help didn’t come but that certainly shouldn’t diminish Oregon’s incredible play over the past several games- including an overall complete victory on a perfect afternoon at Autzen today.
After a 2 year USC vs. UO hiatus, the Ducks and Trojans met up as two top 25 teams with plenty to play for. As an added bonus, former Oregon quarterback and last year’s Heisman winner, Marcus Mariota, paid a visit and cheered from the sidelines as the Ducks prevailed, 48-28.
Game Ball goes to: Vernon Adams Jr., who played a nearly flawless game, becoming one of just 6 Oregon players to ever pass for 6 TD in a single game. Oh! and each of those passes went to different receivers. Not too shabby.
