NFL Wild Card Weekend Preview

In 33 days a new Super Bowl Champion will be crowned. While it’s really exciting, it’s also a bit depressing because the Super Bowl marks the end of the football season. Enjoy the next month while you can because soon, we’ll all be stuck watching shows and movies we’ve seen 10,000 times.

Back to this weekend. . .

The goal of every NFL team is to win the Super Bowl. To get there, they play 16 games with the hope of either winning their division to get into the playoffs or having a good enough record to secure a Wild Card spot. The first stop on the road to the Super Bowl is “Wild Card Weekend.” This weekend, eight teams will play in an effort to move to the Divisional Round.

This weekend’s matchups are:

AFC

No. 5 KC Chiefs @ No. 4 Houston Texans
No. 6 Pittsburgh Steelers @ No. 3 Cincinnati Bengals

NFC

No. 6 Seattle Seahawks @ No. 3 Minnesota Vikings
No. 5 Green Bay Packers @ No. 4 Washington Redskins

If you’re like me, you might be curious who is predicted to win? If so, you may want to check out John Breech’s article talking about Wild Card Playoff Picks and just why he thinks certain teams will move on.

This could all change as the playoffs progress of course, but as of right now according to mytopsportsbooks.com the odds of the AFC 1st seed (Broncos) and NFC 1st seed (Panthers) playing each other for the Lombardi Trophy stands at 13/1

There you have it guys! Get ready for a fun Wild Card Weekend!
